📣🏐📣🏐U11s MATCH REPORT📣🏐📣🏐
The U11's made the short trip to Round Towers this evening. Towers were quick out of the blocks and had built up a sizable lead by half time. Strong words of encouragement and some reorganisation before the restart seemed to do the trick and a much stronger all round second half performance from Ellistown saw the game in the balance in the last few minutes. Towers picked off a couple of vital scores which settled the game, however this Ellistown U11s group can be proud of the great team spirit they showed this evening. Well done to them all!🤗 ... 🏐🏐🏐🏆 THE BIG MATCH REPORT🏆🏐🏐🏐
All roads led to Hawkfield this afternoon as our Senior Ladies took on Round Towers in the Junior C Final. This was always going to be a tough encounter for Ellistown, who are fielding a very young side. Ellistown started strong and had 1.1 on the board before Round Towers found their stride. Round Towers experience and physicality dominated most of the half as the put 3.8 on the scoreboard. Just before the half ended, Ellistown scored 2 points to leave the 1/2 time score 3.8 Round Towers to Ellistowns 1.3. Ellistown Ladies very unlucky not to have added to their tally as they hit the crossbar and upright. Unfortunately, the Ellistown team had some bad luck as their centre back was yellow carded and sin binned for the start of the 2nd half. Round Towers domination continued as they seem to score with ease and after a 2nd yellow card, Ellistown centre back's game was over. Ellistown, with only 14 players on the pitch, Round Towers powered on and drove their advantage home. To their credit the Ellistown Ladies never game up and this was a great learning experience for this team.
Congratulations to Round Towers and best of luck to them in their promotion.

🏐🏐🤗MATCH REPORT U11s🤗🏐🏐
Tonight the U11s played their second game in 2nd round of fixtures hosting Kildangan. Ellistown moved the ball well from the start and had built up a healthy lead when what can only what can only be described as 'End of the World' weather conditions arrived and put paid to what looked like a great game of football. Sincere thanks to Kildangan GAA players and mentors for being good sports and trying to complete the fixture. More heavy rain and poor light meant the game wrapped up a little early but well done to all players & parents for preserving on what turned into a very cold & wet evening.👍☺ ... See MoreSee Less

🌟 U13s SUPERSTARS🌟
The Ellistown U13's made the long trip to Cappagh tonight in the final round of matches in the Bord Na Nog league. Cappagh really put it up to Ellistown in the first half and lead by a point at the break. The second half saw a sensational performance from Ellistown as they camped into the Cappagh half, some great moves were constructed and superb point taking.
Final score Ellistown 6-22 Cappagh 3-6. The boys have topped the group with a 100% record and look forward to a home semi final, please support this wonderful group of lads who just keep improving. Super stuff!

The Ellistown U13's entertained Castledermot this morning and despite the difficult conditions, a rattling good league match was played out. Ellistown were up early but couldn't quite shake off a determined Castledermot team. Ellistown held the lead until the last few minutes but some quick fire goals from the visitors gave them a slender lead. This Ellistown team is never short of courage though and a late goal won it. Well done to both teams for puttting on a very exciting encounter.
Final score Ellistown 4-13 Castledermot 5-7

🏐🏆🤗TO THE FINAL THEY GO🤗🏆
Our Senior Ladies took to the field last night in their 1st ever Championship semi final against Kill. These 2 teams have never met before and there was a great sense of caution and expectation from both sets of players and the many spectators who came to watch. Kill got off to a great start and took the 1st three points.
The home team's nerves settled and Kate Scully took their 1st score. This was followed by another two scores to even things up. Both sides traded goals and points but Kill the half stronger and went in at half time 3 points up on a scoreline of 1.9 to 1.6. The second half started and was played at a frantic pace, both sides trading points but Ellistown make the crucial breakthrough and added 2 goals in a 10 minute spell. This left Ellistown 4 points up with 10 mins to go. Kill to their credit never gave up and took a good point to bring it back to just a goal seperating the teams. With 5 mins to go, the Ellistown centre back was yellow carded and Kill piled on the pressure and took a very good goal to bring it back to a draw game. Ellistown kept their composure and a long ball into space found the full forward who slotted over the last score of the game to leave Ellistown taking this game by the minimum of margins.
A great game of football was witnessed, with great committment and skill shown by both teams.
Commiserations to Kill, we wish them well in the future and Ellistown go on to play either Round Towers or Raheens in the
